Silvertone 8052 resetting button presets

I have a Silvertone 8052 from 1948 that has 4 buttons for changing the channels quickly. I was able to find the technical overview on this site but it makes no mention of how to reset the buttons for different channels after tuning it in manually with the dial. Googling around didn't turn up a manual for it. Does anyone know how this is done?

Have you tried to hold down on a push button as you turn tuning knob to station of choice?

Try pulling a button to one side or another and pulling at the same time, tune in the station, and press the button back in.

If the push buttons pulls on the dial cord the way a car radio does, you need to release the grip on the dial cord by pulling the knob straight out. Tune manually. Push in to lock the grip on the dial cord.

If the buttons are not dial cord type, they are tuned with a screw driver.
