The basing diagram for the 1619 is in error. The 1619 is directly heated tube and does not have a separate cathode. Pin 8 only connects to the beam forming electrodes.

Agree, this is an error in many tube manuals. Seems to be correct in RCA manuals, as they made this tube.

Could be a bummer for someone wanting to use this tube. I pointed the error out to another site and the response was sort of "yeah, well" and it stayed wrong. The real bummer would come from someone who believed it to be a sub for a 6L6, as I once saw on an audio forum.
