Detrola 134

Hi, I just restored a nice Detrola 134 radio.
The schematic does not give any procedure for
alignment. I have a Sig-Gen.
Thanks for any help.

I don't think that the Model 134 has a tuning eye, so
you will also need an output meter.

You should be able to use a generic alignment procedure for this set: inject the IF center frequency at the mixer and peak up the IF filters, then inject modulated RF into the antenna input at each end of a given band and peak up the padder caps for that band to get best dial pointer tracking.

The IF filter frequency can be found on the schematic.

It would be nice to have a formal procedure so that you can quickly identify the padder caps used in dial tracking adjustment, but with a little patience you should be able to figure this out- it's a simple radio.

The Search mode on NA is broken, but you can turn something up on NA Forum history by doing a Google search on "Detrola 134" There was traffic on this topic back in 2007.
