Anyway, there appear to be only three fixed resistances in this set, and all three appear to be associated with tube grids, either in series with the grids or hanging off the grid as a "grid leak" resistor. These may take the form of small bakelite or glass cylinders with metal end caps, somewhat like a Buss cartridge fuse. They will probably be snap-fitted into small brackets, but they could also be hardwired in place. You should be able to locate them by tracing each wire from the grids of the three tubes that have them.
AK Model 10 should be as good as Model 20. Model 10 is breadboard version on Model 20 which is in a wood cabinet.
Check that audio interstage transformers aren't open. A secondary winding can be open and still some signal will be heard.
Connect your antenna to the detector tuner. Work back toward the antenna from there.

:Hi,
:The above radio has very low volume on headphones.
:On other 20s sets the volume nearly deafens me.
:Changed tubes , new capacitor, increased voltage.
:Have not checked 2 meg resistor because I cannot find it.
:Any ideas.
:Kind regards

:
You can buy new replacements that should fit inside the old housing?
AES, www.tubesandmore.com and others sells replacements. See P-T156 from AES

:Thank you Norm,
:It does appear that I have an open transformer.
:Do I have any options outside of putting it in a glass case for show.
