Whoa....not enough information...You need to use an Ohmmeter and find where a short is...we don't know the model, we can't look at a schematic and give you a clue. How many Ohms across the line cord? Where is the fuse? What does it protect? What is the model?

Hi Bobby, if it is when you turn on the phonograph the fuse blows check the black and white power wires going to the phono from the chassis. Have found several shorted out at the slides and hinges. Should be easy to spot. Best 2 U, George T

First you need to determine if the short is in the phono motor or the amp circuit. I would try disconnecting inside the amp circuit and see if the phono motor runs. If it does, then you know the problem is in the amp. If not, you have a bad motor or a bad winding coil on the motor.

If the problem is in the amp circuit, I would connect a 60 watt light in series with the amp. This way you can tell if you have a short (Bulb goes bright). If you do, check for a shorted transformer winding, bad caps, and test the tubes. It is usually a good idea to replace all the electrolytic caps and filter caps before powering up an unknown device.

Note: Tube amps use HIGH VOLTAGE so be careful.
