I have a GE model 260 portable AM and short wave radio. It has the orignal loop antenna. It is intact except for the Willard 2.2V battery that was no longer able to hold a charge, the pith balls all sat at the bottom. It power up and makes noise (hum)but is not receiving any station. The loop connections are corroded so that may be the reason. The selector keys are sticky from age. The audio side keys are good and the dial moves freely. the case is in hammertone green original paint. the paint is worn to the primer in a few places along edges but no significant damage or rust. The interior is clean except for a slight amount of corrosion around the bottom of the battery compartment. I have no use for this unit even though it has been in my family since 1950's. Anyone have an interest in it please contact me. Thank you.

Hello Henry,
I also have this set here in Germany. It took a bit of doing to get the 2V Battery operation going again, but it is working now with a much smaller size 2V gel battery. What I am missing for this set is the
EXTERNAL LOOP ANTENNA for short wave. Don't know if you have since sold the set, but as the whole heavy set will be too expensive to ship over here, I am asking if you would be willing to part with the loop antenna only. It would possibly fit into a padded envelope. Please reply to above email also. Regards Siegfried
