Almost each time i have to restore a radio which has a push-pull audio circuit, the audio transformer has an open primary winding on one side. I wish i could repair them.

I wonder why so many are defective.

Have you ever succeed to unwind those and rewind them without breaking the wire several times?
How do you proceed?
Wire gauge look like to be between #36 and #40

If it was built, it can be re-built. But the alternatives (RC coupling, substitute transformer) may be easier approaches. Depends what you want to achieve: a working radio or a carefully-restored one.
