Working on Montgomery ward AC. DC. tube radio late 40's

Thanks, nICK

Hi Nick, it will work but it won't be as bright as the #47. It will however throw the voltages out of wack a bit. I always like to use what is called for. Best to go to your local Ace Hardware store and get a #47. They are in the hardware section around the flashlight bulbs. Best 2 U, George T

on this same ac dc 5 tube radio I know where to connect
the positive lead of the signal generator, does negative go chassis ground, or B- ? Nick

Doesn't much matter since the sig gen is AC. On the off chance that your sig gen return is the same as that of the radio, you should connect the "low" side of the sig gen to chassis ground.
