Fada model 42

I am trying to restore an old fada 42,i`m a rookie at reading schematicsand i`m having a very hard time reading the one in your references section.do you have a schematic that is more rookie friendly?my main problem right now are the caps the wiring was totally rotted away so i have no golor code for reference

As schematics go, you are unlikely to find one for your FADA that is more readable than the one in the Resources section. Some schematics for other set types here are partially illegible due to low standards of the original schematic makers but the one for the FADA 42 is OK. One thing that would be nice would be an underchassis parts-location/wire-routing drawing, but most radio makers didn't bother to create these.

Don't be discouraged that the wire color coding is gone. Every wire's connections in the set can be determined by tracing its physical start and end points against the schematic, then determining for yourself how the wires are laid out in the actual chassis. Color coding was necessary for some parts of the initial assembly of the set but is not needed at all for repair. Just don't indulge in bulk disconnection of wires- replace one at a time.

:thankyou for the reply,yes an under chassis diagram would be great.i guess i`m just in too much of a hurry to see the old girl work(i hope)
