The Canadian Fairbanks - Morse Co. LTD Montreal

Hi There,
I have recently picked up what I believe to be a 1949-50 Emerson Radio and Phonograph Corporation N.Y. U.S.A boat anchor. It has a "The Canadian Fairbanks - Morse Co. LTD Montreal" Model 604 radio amp chassis. And a Webster Chicago Corporation model 100-29 Phonograph. I would appreciate any and all information I could get. Was this common for all components to be from a different company?
All searches so far have turned up nothing. Thanks for reading.

Radio Museum has specs, schematic and a bit of info for a Emerson Canada Model 604.
I think that might be what you've got, a Canadian Emerson phono unit built in Toronto. So they had Fairbanks Morse build the radio amps and found turntables in Chicago. That would be normal practice, I think. They were focusing on TV in those years, so to fill orders for phonos it probably made sense to shop around for the components.
