I just saw something strange on eBay, a 6U5 tuning eye sold for $12.50 plus shipping. Now may be the time to nab one for later.
I got one for $38 plus shipping last fall.

Hi, an eye tube for $12.50, OMG!! what next a #45 for $9.95. Going to start having to watch the tube section on Ebay a bit more closely. I'm with you my last one cost around $40.00. Best 2 U, George T.

Can a 6U5 be replaced by a 6E5? (I aware that the 6E5 tube closes faster and can replace a 6g5...) I have been snatching up 6E5 tubed for less than $20.00 each

:Yes it can, that's what I've been doing lately going with the 6E5's they seem to be a little brighter. I was woundering who has been out bidding me on the 6E5's now I know. LOL Yeah it wound belong and you'll have made a wise investment. George T
