I just bought a EICO 425 oscilloscope in KIT.
The scope, from 1960, still in it's box, has never been assembled yet.
I don't have the construction manual, unfortunately.
But i found the instruction manual and the schematic on the web. So i should be able to assemble it with the schematic, but i would need to know which tube socket goes with which tube ?
Does someone has a tube location diagram for this scope ?
Now what should i do with all the capacitors ?
What about old capacitors that has never been use, are they still good ? In the kit, they look like new ones.
Should i recap everything ?
Thanks

Might consider leaving the scope in kit form unless you just want to build something. In kit form an item is often worth much more than assembled.

You are right Norm, but i already started the consruction of the scope...for my own pleasure.
But that would be quite easier..with the contruction manual.
This is what happened to someone else that built an EICO VTVM without using the construction manual.. :o)
They consist of the original assembly manual for the 425, complete with the pencil check-marks made by some owner, a perfect redrawn schematic, and a copy of the original user manual.
