What could be wrong with this Grigsby Grunow model 20 as it doesn't pull in very many stations for a set with an rf amp.

(1) Weak tube(s)
(2) Needs alignment

If the tubes all test good but the set won't peak up in the alignment, start suspecting a bad passive component (antenna coil, coupling capacitor).
