RCA model 120

The cap bank on a RCA 120 has 4 caps in it...3 4mfd and 1 10 mfd.Are these caps electrolytic??
Also all the other caps a covered witha black tar substance is that nornmal for this radio?
Does anyone have a clear schematic of this model?

You can use electrolytics; 4.7uf and 10 will do.

The black tar is normal and a challenge to work with. You could just mount the new caps below and leave the tar-filled box in place. Mark from Kalamazoo

Got the RCA up and running...What a wonderful sounding Radio.The tar was messy but it was worth it..
