Atwater Kent model 33 power cord

Would it be easier to replace the whole cord, or to just splice new cords to the old one. Since it is several cords within a larger cord. The owner before me,basically took the ends off.

Kind of hard to offer an opinion without seeing the present condition of the cable; but if you want to do it once and be done with it, it would probably be best to just construct a new cable.

Model 33 is a battery powered radio. The cable is just a bundle of wires usually with bare ends. If in bad shape you could replace the cable. Sometimes a person can make their own using a certain type of shoe lace. Some can be opened in the center making room for wires.

On mine, the ends are frayed. Just want to avoid if possible. Replacing the whole cord. looks like the arms of an octopus underneath the chassis.
