GE 115 schematic and parts list

The parts list on the GE 115 and other models that use the same chassis have an error, It lists R8 resistor as 330 ohms, the schematic lists 2200 ohms. The factory part I took out has 3 red bands on it, that's 2200 ohms....

Hi Maury

Use 2.2K resistor for R8. This resistor is between two filter caps and helps remove hum. A low value will allow more hum.

Your original resistor may have over heated? Best if this resistor was rated 1 watt or more.

Thanks Norm, I put a 2200 ohm 2 watt in there, the first several resistors I tested were all way out of tolerance, so I replaced all of them and all the caps too. This is a sweet sounding 5 tube set and picks up a lot of stations..
