Need value of Philco radio field coil.

I'm restoring a Philco 42-PT-96 radio. The field coil is open so I can't determine the value. I would like to replace the coil with an choke. Would anyone happen to know the choke value I would need.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Most of those little radios had a field coil of about 500 ohms (most common) to 800 ohms. Rider does not list your set directly, but some general inferences can be made about some families of Philco production.
