With Silvertone chassis numbers it sometimes works with the period in the number and sometimes it works better without it. Sometimes substituting Sears for Silvertone helps also.

Thanks, Bob. I wish to add that 50Y6 would be the rectifier. So would that radio work well with a silicon diode substituted for the 50 volt tube?

I believe that Sears chassis had the tube lineup of 1A7GT, 1N5GT, 1H5GT, 1A5GT & 50Y6GT. I believe the 1T5GT is/was an acceptable substitute for the 1A5GT output tube.

:I have this Sears Silvertone portable and it is missing a tube. The other tubes are 1A7, 1N5G, 1H5, and 1T5. What would the other tube have been? The only numbers on it are 110.411 but I don't find that number listed anyplace.
