ok. hi why does it seem there is a virus on this site. frezze up for few seconds. another thing I noticed that 01a tubes seem not to be selling on the popular web site, also the 45 tubes going for little money. I remember them going for a lot of money. I have a lot of these that need to go.

Hi Paul,
I have long suspected that prices on vintage radios and their components are cyclical. As an investment they are like any collectible, a hedge against inflation, like gold for instance.
Inflation is not a big problem now so I would expect prices to be down. It may be interesting to track the price of selected restored vintage radios and parts on eBay and the price of gold.
About two years ago I saw four NOS 6T5 tubes go on eBay for $1000 as a lot. I am sure they were purchased as an investment.

Best Regards,

Bill Grimm

Hi All, I've been watching Ebay closely and radios are definately in a slump right now. Picked up 2 working Belmont 636's for less than $100.00. Usually radios on Ebay start selling better around August. Seems to be a yearly thing. I always get good deals around this time every year, fix em up and sell around August. Will see what happens this year.

Just list that you have tubes on this site and I'm sure you'll have no problem off loading them. Lou is always looking for 45's. I have several hundred tubes so I'm good. Best 2 U
