Dial Lamp #
4/22/2013 6:06:25 AMLou
I am working on an RCA model 86T6. The literature does not indicate the type # of the dial lamp used ( as RCA usually does, its only an RCA part # - grrrr).

The lamp is a screw base. Anyone know?

Thanks
Lou

A #46 screw-base 0.250 amp 6.3 volt lamp should work. You can find these at Radio Shack in the electronic components section. Most traditional hardware stores sell them, also.

The Shack also sells a similar bulb (same screw base, same voltage) in a lower-current (and therefore, less light output) version. If a set has a lot of lamps (such as a SABA Freiburg) I will install lower-current bulbs. Should not be a concern for your set.

The RCA p/n 5226 lamp does indeed cross to a #46 lamp.
