Osc. Coil & wave trap reply

Thank both of you for responding for both of the ideas. Was a big help to know that someone pays attention. Was thinking about using the ZENITH osc. coils that are on the newer ZENITHS I don't have any resistances on the emerson but I do know that the tap on the ZENITHS is maybe "at the most!" ohm. The rest of the coil is about 5 to 6 ohms. If I did hook up a ZENITH coil I could put a signal generator to the set & see just where I'm at with that set-up (just for fun??!!. The original EMERSON had this type of coil, so the circuit as modified somewhat for a seperate pri. & a seperate sec. SOMEHOW, SOMEHOW they modified the osc. circuit & got it to work & TRACK FAIRLY DECENT!!!! Must have been a decendant of one of the old radio designers from years ago., Joke for the day. I don't know the tubes until I can look under the RESOURCE part of NOSTALGIA AIR under EMERSON BL-210. The peoples computer that I am using does not have ADOBE READER so I can't view circuitries. My lap top does so I'll have to wait till I get into town at the restaurant. AGAIN you two guys have been a HUGE ,HUGE help. How about coffee someday???????? And I'll treat!!!!
