ZENITH model & chassis no. difference
4/13/2013 4:08:21 AMRAYMOND
On the archives there is a picture of a ZENITH 5-A-07. That is the chassis no. The model no. was a B519J I had two of these sets & the model no. was very plain on the bottom. The chassis was a 5A07 on a tag on the inside of the set & on the tag on the bottom (which were surprisely good). I'm doing this because I would like to make it easy for others to be able to identify CORRECTLY! The model no. & the chassis no. were sometimes misused (mistated). I hope this will clear up confusion about the ZENITH numbering system.

:
Many radios on the archives are not correctly identified.
I see that Zenith also reused the 5A07 chassis number:

Link I supplied does not work, but in addition to the model number you referenced, it was also used for the 5B540 in 1941.
