Shielded Capacitors

I'm in the procces of recapping a westinghouse 987X and it has 2 .005@500V shielded caps, can I shield my replacment caps with foil tape or should I push the old caps from there metal shell and install the new ones inside.

You could but probably not necessary. Just keep leads short on replacement caps.
