On both the schematics I have I cannot make out the value of C 26 D 1/4 of a 4 section electrolytic...Does anyone have a clear diagram that shows the value? Also is it okay to substitute ceramic discs for tubular coupling caps in these old radios ? Thanks. Any help is much appreciated !

The schematic that is posted here in resources shows C26 A 20 Mfd, B 20 Mfd, C 40 MFD and D 80 Mfd..

Looks like 30 MFD to me. Anything in the range of 15 to 50 MFD at the rated voltage of the original part (or above) will work fine.

Ceramic disks are OK subs for modern tubular caps as long as the values are the same and the ratings are the same or better than the original paper caps they replace.
