6-4 Amperite ballast tube characteristics.

Hello.

I picked up a VTVM which has a "6-4" Amperite ballast tube. The tube is open.
I do not plan on using the VTVM for high voltage measurements.
I was thinking I could just replace the tube with a resistor.
Does anyone know the characters for such a tube?

It's listed as 5.5 - 11 volts @ 608-612ma in Ballast Tube Handbook.
