GAROD --(TUNER)
2/9/2013 1:40:07 PMRAYMOND
When I was in school, someone gave me an old set to "play" with. It was a GAROD RAF set. "A flick of the switch" (John McMahon) shows a picture of it real nice. Bunis Books gives a good description of it. 5 tubes, lift top, 3 dials. However when I check the Internet (Nostalgia Air) I can't find a RAF model under GAROD. There's quite a bit to check under GAROD. If nobody has an answer I'll have to dig a little deeper. The set got used for a play as a telephone office. When the play was over, it was never returned to me--although I KNOW WHO HAS IT. Maybe someday I'll get up enough nerve to ask them for it. THey were good friends of ours while we were in school but we kinda lost touch with each after school as a lot of people do. They are neighbors of mine, down the road a short ways. We haven't talked in years & I don't even know if they know that I returned home after 60 years. The set has sentimental value even if I don't have it in my posession.
