Hi to all,

I'm trying to restore an old Tektronix 535 scope which is missing all it's tubes ( 62 tubes ).
The seller kept all the tubes for himself.
The scope seems in a good shape.
I paid $20 for the scope with no tubes.
I wonder if it worth the money to restore it...

I wish i could find datasheet for tube number: 6N045T
This tube is next to a relay. It serve as time delay for the relay.

Do you have any datasheet for this tube ?
I don't find any on the net.
Thanks
Vianney

The relay is a 6 Volt Normally Open 45 second delay relay. Don't know what the "T" at the end means.
Hope this might help.

Here's some good info about that scope written by a British guy, I think. His has 73 'valves'.

I think your best source for tubes will be another 535 scope, maybe with a bad component or two. I would not want to put in a tube order for that thing. Good luck with it.

The 6NO45 is not really a "tube." It's a time delay relay made by Amperite. Some may still be available.

Hi

Check eBay. There are many 6NO45T's listed. You can buy 120 tubes for $9.99. Get a 6NO45T and sell off the rest.

This is a time delay to allow filaments to warm up before B+ is applied. You don't have to stick with 6NO45T. 6NO30T or 6NO60T would be usable if you found one of these.

If it is just a timer for the B+, then a manual standby switch would do in a pinch?
