I recently bought a Tenma 72-540 signal injector and tracer. but the inject portion does not work.
I opened it up and found the back solder side of what appears to be 2-14 pin IC's. So,I have tried
to find a source for informatio to no avail.
Would appreciate help Thank You

Sir Antoni. . . .
Looking at the units frontal controls, looks like they used the same control knobs as Tektronix used in the 70-80's.
Plus, by the functions of controls and jacks / connectors I would guess that one of the ICs function is merely as an audio amp /power amp function for the unit's signal TRACE function.
Then there is the design probabilty of the OTHER IC being a TTL function and merely creating a square wave oscillator that is fixed tuned within the AF spectrum for its injection signal type and also having a higher frequency square wave, rich in overtone harmonics, for the RF spectrums aspect.
Can you give us ANY and ALL of the numbering / symbolization atop the I.C.s.
I am certainly suspicioning them to be utilizing dual inline plastic packaging . . . . . a la :

Anyone can admit to themselves that they were wrong; the TRUE test, is admitting it to someone else.
