I have several questions about this particular radio that I just acquired.
1-Is the schematic for Fada 461 L the same as for Fada 461? I have a hard time corelating the value of the capacitors on the 461 schematic.
2-I know I can use capacitors of higher value for the power supply part of the radio than actual values. Do I have the same freedom for the much smaller capacitors in the audio portion(o.o5 0r smaller ones)?
Also a black wire and a beige wire exit from the antena section. Only connecting the beige one to an external antena seems to improve the reception. What is the exact role of the black wire?
Finally, I bought a box of capacitors from Antique Radio Suppllies. They come either in polyester or polypropylene varieties. Any reason to use one versus the other when they are of the exact same capacitance.
Sorry for being long winded this morning.
I appreciate all your inputs.

YOU WILL FIND THE SCHEMATIC IN RIDERS VOLUME IX FADA PAGE 18.THE ALIGNMENT IS IN VOLUME X FADA PAGE 2.WHICH IS ALSO USED FOR MODELS 460 & 5F60.I COULD NOT FIND ANY LISTING FOR 461L/
YOU CAN USE A .047 IN PLACE OF THE .05.TODAYS ELECTROLYTICS ARE SMALLER IN SIZE.NO PROBLEM IN USING THEM.I USE THEM ALL THE TIME PLUS THEY ARE IDEAL FOR RESTUFFING THE CANS.
THE BEIGE WIRE IS FOR ANTENNA AND THE BLACK IS AN EXTERNAL GROUND.

I am not sure the radio I have is a Fada 461.
There is no mention of the 461 L on the radio anywhere.
The radio has a can capacitor and the tube lining of the 461.
The small capacitor numbers C10 etc, only partially correspond to the schematic.
Does the 461 schematic show a multi capacitance can electrolytic capacitor.
Thanks.
