:::I am working on a Delco car radio, it is AM only with a 8 track player, problem is the tag with the service ref # and SN# was torn off, I only have the modle # to go by it is 7939071, that modle is listed in 3 different Sam's, is ther any other way to id this radio?
:::
::Ralph,
::The model number is ALWAYS the part of the tag that is torn or missing!
::We would need more to go on to positively id the radio. 7939071 is GM’s product code for several years of AM radio/8 track tape players for Chevrolet cars and trucks. It crosses to model numbers 41BPBT1 (1974, found in Sams AR-166), 51BPBT1/2 (1975, in AR-188), 51BPBT3 (1975, in AR-207), 61BPBT1 (1976, also in AR-207), 61BPBT2 (1976, in AR-256), 71APBT1 (1977, not listed in Sams, but I have it in Delco 6D-1977-1).
::
::You may be able to ID it from the number on the printed circuit board: D8M628 (41BPBT1), D8S628 (51BPBT1/2), D9A219 (51BPBT3, and 71APBT1) . I don’t have numbers for the others.

The circuit board has D9C219 stamped on it Does that help you? Ralph.
Ralph,
1976 Chevrolet, Chevelle, Monte Carlo, and truck radio/tape model 61BPBT2. Your radio and also Buick, Olds, and Pontiac 1976 GM AM/Tape models are covered in AR-256.
