Shadow meter coil

I had a open shadow coil , so I carefully tore in to it and found the break... was only a few turns in, now my question is how do I terminate the wires of the coil back to larger wire? I have tried to tin the ends of the coil wire but is so thin. Any ideas on how to do this so I have a stable connection?
Thanks
E.

If there is enough wire, I wind a few turns around the wire I wish to solder it to. Then heat the junction well to burn off the enamel, and saturate with solder.

:Thats how I fix broken wires on i.f. transformers. Be VERY,VERY careful & use a pair of reading glasses 2.5 power or higher. Another thing you can try is an eye loop avaliale at jeweler stores. Sometimes I use one when I ABSOLUTELY have to, they are rather clumsy!! Take care now. Raymond.
