I want to build a tube operated test load
I am tageting specs such as 500V-500W and i'd like to incorporate dynamic capabilities to mesure current surge potential
Who could put on on the track either of schematics or suitable tubes (cheap + easilly available +parallel operating capabilities)

Hi,
actually, such a meter is already being produced, and you could likely get it from a specialty vendor that sells to appliance repair companies. Most of those meters, when in "unweighted" mode should do what you are looking to accomplish with ease.
