Sir Mike . . . .

ON the possibility of acquiring one on the "el cheapo" side rather that paying thru the schnozzzz, by using a new Hammond unit.

Initially . . . take yourself to this hot link of :

> > > Ye Olde Power Transformer Storage Dump and Cathouse Thursday < < <

After there, you shift your 'puter into its Super Warp Speed Sniffing Search Mode by a simultaneous application of the Ctrl AND F keys and then type in 350 into the dialogue box then provided . . .and then . . afar . .from the isolation provided by a full arms length . . . press ENTER . . . and then RUN like hell.

I figure that ~350VAC raw AC being full waved by that units rectifier tube should result in that highest shown 305 VDC for the unit.

Look thru those multiple 350 VAC offerings that are then highlighted as you scroll down.

(I got abouts 30-40 hits if I used 350 along with bracketed 325 and 375 also. )

Figure on about 2-3 amps or so for the 6.3 V filament for the main tubes supply.

Then about 2 amps for the rectifier tubes 5 VAC filament.

Then work over to the far right size and see how the transformers dimensions can work out for you .

Then confirm present stock availibility on any found unit(s).

Those units then ship REEEEEEEEL cheap thru the USPS Flat Rate Box . . up to 70 lbs . . .babycakes !

I am becoming increasingly worried and concerned that there isn't enough anxiety in my life.
