Anyone know of a supplier for 40 awg magnet wire?
Antique Electronic Supply no longer carries the
40 gauge. A quick internet search came up with several
companies: S&W Wire has none, MWS quoted me $98 for
1000 feet! I have a Philco Shadowmeter that I need to
rewind and have run out of sources. Hoping someone
knows a company that will sell some reasonable
or someone who has 1000 feet they could sell me.

I noticed they had some magnet wire in the latest catalog
but not sure of the gauge.

Hope you found some by now but Alltronics is selling magnet wire down to #40 in 1/4lb spools for $9.00 US, that's 8361 feet.
