If it calls for 1000 volts replace it with a 1000 volt rated component. Normally i replace them with 1600 volt components.

If the original was .01uf @ 1000v

You can use two .02uf @ 630v caps in series which will give you .01 @ 1230v

Hello Bob,
If you have two .02 mfd @ 630 volt capacitors you can wire them in series for .01 @ 1260 volt capacitance
