Am restoring this radio, have aquestion about the tone control circuit,in particular capacitor C-18 across the bass switch. The leads from the switch go to a terminalconnection under the chassis. One terminal has nothing connected to it,and the other terminal is connected as per the schematic. No signs of any work done other than electrolytics replaced.Bass control works fine.Maybe afactory redesign? What do you think?

I think you better take another look.

The switch is there to switch in/out a capacitance in circuit. If there were no connection to one side, there would be no change in the bass response when you switched the switch!!

When I cant find a connection (something "blind") , I use an ohmmeter to trace that obscure point to another point to see if the correct connection exists.
