Hi,
your description could be from a couple of things, but the first thing to look at is the gain of the RF amp. This setting, which common on many of the import TVs of smaller sizes, is an external adjustment, essentially a variable resistor. If this is one of those Gold Star imports, it will be stamed "GS" somewhere on the back, and usually the adjustment you want is inside of the set with no accsess hole for easy adjustment. If the setting is too great, it will buzz on every channel because it is picking up external noise and amplifying it. You can also check for the condition of the line filter and the capacitors just after it, as well as a cold solder joint somewhere in the audio section. If the set did not cost much originally, you might find it easier to get a new one if you do not feel like investing more than an hour or two into trying to locate the problem.

If the set is just a black and white set, the visible adjustments that you see when it is open; are very tollerent of misadjustment, and you can try slight adjustments without causing trouble to the set, but note where the adjuster aligned before you made any adjustments in the event you get undesired results, you can return it to the original position. Do this as a last step, on older sets the adjsutments were more critical, but the newer sets are more tollerant of errors in production, errors caused by age, etc.

Thank you, I really appriacaiate your response. I have fixed the problem, you were close about the audio. The audio Bass was set at 15. I set it at 0 and the buzzing noise went away. Thanks again. Pete

I had my awia sterio hooked into my computer because the cd player stopped working, its rather old, so i just hooked it to the comp so that i could use the cd player in the computer to play cds through the sterio. I had a similar problem with buzzing through the sterio when the bass was above 0, it turned out it was a loose connection through the RCA's. My suggestion is to make sure all of your connections are good, if they are, i'd call the company.
