12SK7 Glass or Metal

Anyone have some 12SK7 glass ( preferably ) or metal , used that they want to sell? I seem to have very few of these, but a lot of 6SK7.

In older AC/DC radios 12SK7 was very common. Should be able to get them at flea markets. Use 12SG7 or 6SS7 for testing if you run out of 12SK7.

Thanks NORM

I have yet to look into some older stocks of tubes I have to find this number. Seems like a hard to find type - I have plenty of 12SQ7, 12SA7, etc.

If I fail I guess I will just order a few for stock.

This type is going into a rather rare Farnsworth table radio.

12SQ7 tubes often test weak but are still good. This tube handles very little plate current in a radio. Some tube testers require more current to deflect the meter so force the 12SQ7..

12SA7 may test good but not always work as an oscillator.

Shouldn't find too many 12SK7's bad? Like mentioned use 6SS7 or 12SG7 for testing in a radio.

OK NORM

I know the radio now works with substitution of a 12SK7 from another radio. I just don't like to rob peter to pay paul. So I will be ordering a few.

I now have to recap the rest of the set, although it works well as is.

Thanks Again
