Most radios have some leakage from AC line to chassis. Some radios have a cap from each side of the AC line to chassis. This will give about half line voltage on the chassis if read on a sensitive meter.
Should be very little current available from the chassis. Try a 10K resistor across the voltage. A meter should no longer read 50 volts. It it doesn't read should be safe to ground the chassis.

:On a 1929 BOSCH Radio, I checked for AC Voltage from Ground to Chassis prior to attaching a Gnd wire. (For better reception) There is 50 AC voltage diff. Is it safe to attach Radio to Gnd?. Thanks for any advice.
