The third wire

General Telev & Radio Corp Model 534 rider 18-5. My power cord has 2 wires, what is a good plan for the 3rd wire from plug to antenna coil (t-1), is this wire part of the plug drawing 110v or just as a antenna with no volts from the plug??

Hi Bob

That's a third wire that's not connected on the AC end. It's used as an antenna mostly by capacity coupling to the AC line.

You could use a 3 wire line cord but not connecting the power end of 3rd wire. This will act somewhat as an antenna. Could also connect an external antenna to the point marked on the schematic:
