Dim light tester
8/3/2012 10:38:40 AMJohn
I have this dim light tester but the amp meter doesn't seem to work. When I plug my radio into the direct line receptacle shouldn't it show the current draw? The meter just stays at zero. The meter works on volts and ohms. My unit is just like the one on ebay item# 220944577042. Thanks for any help.

John:

Have you traced the circuit to see if the meter is really in line and is it an AC meter?

Thanks
Lou

Hi John

Try it on an item drawing more current. Some radios only draw 20 watts so a meter like this may not move. For some AC meters it takes a minimum current to get a reading.
