I need to get a power transformer for my GE T-12, (same as RCA R5) radio. What specs. should I look for?

Figure filament current from tube manuals. The 80 tube requires 5 volts @ 2 amps. The other three tubes, 2.5 volt center tapped at 4.25 amps or more. You need a high voltage winding, not specified. I would use a winding 300-0-300 @ 50 ma or greater.

You can use higher current ratings but a transformer will be larger. Be sure the replacement fits on the chassis.

Check here for a replacement. Transformers with 2.5 volt windings are near the bottom.

There are quite a few listed 350-0-350. These will work fine for your radio.
