You can probably find a USED 6F6 on the internet at a very low price. Why not put the ORIGINAL tube type in?

You can use a 6K6 or 6V6 in place of 6F6. If 6F6 is metal could also use G or GT versions. Other tubes will draw lower current than 6F6 which will put less stress on the power transformer.

::thanks lou i will replace with a 6f6 i just happend to have a 6k6 and wanted to use the radio but didnt want to risk blowing anything
