Yes, after I thought about this for a minute it proved to be a poor question. Would only be able to match needed value at peak. Oh well, going to go shopping for replacement.

Philmore makes replacement on-off volume controls.
50K to 1 Meg. These are very universal. Can be used in a lot of radios. Easy to adapt extended shaft.

Below is link that looks interesting about adding a "tapering resistor" from the wiper to outer lug of a pot to achieve reasonably close audio taper. Haven't tried myself, maybe someday.
