Hello out there. My name is steven Holmes. Im kinda new at this forum thing.I have a radiola 60 it works fair but can work better if i change out all capasitors, My problem is that my schematic shows the values of just a few of the capacitors. there are several that do not have the value listed. Is there any body that can send me a complete list of all capacitors and there values. I thank you for your time. My personal email address is creationstation000@yahoo.com

Sir Steven . . . . .

In examining all of the capacitors on the schematic used on the "60", it seems, all that are of consequence are labeled with their capacitance.

Now . . . . strung out along the RF section, with its #1- #8 tubes . . . . there are a myriad of variable capacitors, trimmers and some companion mica capacitors .

Those are types of units that are amongst the LEAST . . . and thats vewy HEAVY on the LEAST . . . . of suspicion of failures, so put them down as priority of urgency numbers 9,438 thru 9,456 to replace, on your to do list, of the mere 10 or so failure prone capacitors that are used in the set.

Matter of fact, to the left of the terminal board, I only see any replaceable suspects as being the two .5 ufds ,the .1 ufd and the .0024 ufd cap.

I am thereby fully disregarding the 745 mmfd unit down with the series 3K res into the 1st grid path of the #6 local oscillator since it is a mica unit and not subject to high voltage being present across it.

Concentrate on the replacement of the additional paper caps of the side circuitry, over to the right from the divisional terminal board.

Once while working at a restaurant, I told them I thought they should make straws with the wrapper placed on the inside of the straw . . . since that's the part you REALLY don't want to get dirty.

Steven

Capacitors with values in this schematic can be replaced:

Most of the others are neutralization, tuner or small value caps which shouldn't be replaced.

This radio is hard to align. IF adjustments need to be set with the tuner removed. Don't think there is any other way to get to adjustments.
