Electric cord replacement

The electric cord on my RCA VICTOR 65X1 is really beat up. What is the best way to replace it and is it fairly easy to do?
Any help would be great.
Thanks,

This radio uses a standard line cord. What I mean is there is nothing special about it - no resistance in the cord, etc. You can replace the cord with a piece of "zip" cord available at any hardware store plus a two prong plug. Just locate the two terminals inside th radio that the original cord was atttached to, and unsolder the cord at those terminals ( remove tubes when you do this!!).

Resolder the new cord to these terminals. Also note that you may want to put a knot in the cord before it exits the chassis as a strain relief - to prevent strain on the internal terminals.
