AC/DC receiver and floating ground

Thanks to everyone for the helpful information. I will be shopping for an isolation trans. The series lightbulb is something that I have in use but as stated ...serves not to protect but to inform.
Warren..printed up the Hallicrafters fix for my file and future use on AC/DC units.
