| :Hi all, I got this radio from an antique dealer who had bought a whole barnfull of radios from someone. When I took it apart, I found that someone had been trying to work on it. In fact they were doing a pretty bad job since all the wires from the volume pot were disconnected and reconnected to the tone control. I'm assuming the guy who was working on it was a radio repairman who got mixed up about where to reconnect the wires once he received the new parts he wanted to put in the radio and probably didn't have a schematic. So anyway, I'm going through the process of trying to double check all the connections in the radio but the 2 schematics listed here on this site don't totally match up with the radio I have. There are a lot of parts (resistors and capacitors) missing from the radio that are shown in the schematics. I also have grounds where there shouldn't be grounds! The radio looks complete, it doesn't look like it's been raided for parts. Could I have earlier versions of the schematic?? Does anyone have any different schematics than what are posted here? I know that many changes could have been made to the design over the course of the radio's production. I'd like to make sure all the wiring is correct before I try and plug it in. Any help is appreciated...Thanks I just finished a 670 and it had been worked (hacked) on early. The electrolytics were all in 1 box, It came with cut wires cold solder joints..a mess. To make a long story short I bought a schematic from Just Radios and got it working. One thing, I am fairly new to this but this radio uses the tone control and the one off on the same control. On my 670 the on/off tone is on the bottom, volume (by itself) on the left. Jeff |
