What's the difference between a Mopar 804 and a Mopar 808?

Mopar 804 and 808 outwardly appear identical. Along with many small component changes, Mopar 808 has a smaller power transformer with lower secondary voltage, allowing an electrolytic filter can with reduced voltage on first section (350 vs 400). Pencil pushers triumph over design engineers?
