Thanks, the schematic printed nice and clear and answers most of my questions. My tube tester shows the unit has two tubes with open heater elements, the 50L6GT/G and the 35Z5GT/G. The label on the bottom of the radio shows "50L6 or 50A5", two different base configurations, hmm.. Then, the tube in the radio with the open filament has no identification left on it, rubbed off, I guess. Now that I have the schematic I can ferret out which tube the base is wired for.
